To celebrate the vibrant and all-inclusive event that is Liverpool Pride, this summer Cunard House will be opening its doors for an incredible Drag Brunch, serving up tuck shop realness for all the family, with a fabulously camp event. Taking place on Sunday July 29, divas, queens, and everyone in-between, are invited to leave their inhibitions at the door for a dazzling drag brunch that is sure to go down in history.
The event
Hosted by the fabulous Miss Cherry Lane, this one-of-a-kind event welcomes children, families and friends alike, with this year’s pride theme ‘All Together Now’ at the forefront of the celebrations. Guests will be able to buy a variety of delicious refreshments from an assortment of food and drink stalls, including the likes of The Interesting Eating Company, Tusk, Two Little Penguins Ice Cream, along with Signature’s own food stand, which will offer all the favourite brunch classics. From mouth-watering pancakes and indulgent Willy Wonka style milkshakes, to healthy vegan Buddha bowls and falafel wraps, the varied brunch offering will have something to suit all tastes.
Throughout the day, the finest Queens in town will provide incredible live entertainment, showcasing their charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent with eye-catching performances. In addition to this, there will be a hip-shaking Drag DJ providing the perfect pop-filled soundtrack, immersive games including Bingo, and glitter-wearing make-up artists on standby to bring out guests’ inner divas. Little ones at the event will be catered for too, with a children’s play area and library corner where they can enjoy an animated story from one of the fabulous hosts.
Founders of Signature Living, Lawrence and Katie Kenwright, pride themselves on running a company which is proud to be one of the UK’s most diverse LGBT friendly companies, and they have sponsored the LGBT awards for the past two years running. This drag brunch will be a great celebration of Liverpool Pride and the LGBT community, and The Cunard’s grand interiors make it an ideal setting for the sashaying, sequin-clad hosts to captivate and charm in what promises to be a wonderfully memorable day.
