WIN MAKEOVERS AND COCKTAILS FOR TWO PEOPLE AT MANCHESTER’S VINTAGE FESTIVAL
Northern Soul has teamed up with Vintage at Manchester Cathedral to offer one lucky reader (and a friend) a makeover at the Pop Up Beauty Parlour and a gin cocktail at The Gin Bar.
Back by popular demand for two days only Friday 8 and Saturday 9 April, Manchester Cathedral will open its doors for the return of the hugely popular vintage market.
Vintage at Manchester Cathedral brings you some of the very best in furniture, clothes, ephemera, jewellery and china, all in the beautiful surroundings of the much-loved Manchester Cathedral.
More than 30 classic vintage traders will set out their stalls in the city’s most iconic and much loved building.
Traders from all over the North West include: Tom Brown Esquire, Garbo, Vintage Belle, Keep Calm & Wear Hats and Rucar Vintage.
A large proportion of the furniture on sale reflects the North West’s industrial heritage with up-cycled pieces from factories and mills, revamped and restored to last for at least another 100 years.
Once again there’s a chance to try out the whole retro experience at the Pop Up Beauty Parlour specialising in cutting edge looks from the Roaring Twenties to the Swinging Sixties.
And for those who prefer to relax, delicious homemade cakes, tea and an assortment of refreshments will also be on offer at The Vintage Tea Room.
For those who favour something slightly stronger there’s a chance to enjoy a cocktail or two at The Gin Bar – shaken or stirred there’s a wide range specialist gins and cocktails to try out to the tunes of a smooth soundtrack of songs from years gone by.
Once again on Friday evening the stage will be set for the vintage fashion show, in association with Pear Mill Vintage Emporium where collectible clothes can be seen in action.
