Hurrah! It’s Sunday night which means it’s time for the Northern Soul Podcast.

This week Lucy McNamara delves into the world that is BIMM. With existing schools in Brighton, Bristol and Dublin, BIMM Manchester is the latest addition to the music colleges that offer fully accredited, intensive music courses for individuals who are committed to a career in music or the music industry. BIMM offers a range of Higher Education music degrees in both performance and business.

Lucy chats to BIMM Manchester’s manager Steve Cobain and Briggy Smale, head of music business at BIMM, as well as some of the students. She also plays music from BIMM alumni.

This week’s tunes include, among others, music from Tom Odell, George Ezra, The Who and Fatherson.
