Manchester’s skyline is ever-changing. From post-war concrete skyscrapers to spanking new glass towers, the city is a fascinating mix of modernity and history.

Sue Scott, a Manchester-based artist with a particular interest in urban scenes and cityscapes, looks at the relationship between Manchester’s historical and contemporary architecture and represents this in skyline paintings, cityscapes and more abstract designs. Born and raised in Manchester and with a family history going back to its industrial era of manufacturing, her inspiration comes from the region’s architecture, heritage and culture.
