In recent years, second-hand and vintage clothing has enjoyed a resurgence of interest. In order to explore the inspiration behind historic designs, Chester’s Grosvenor Museum is showcasing Curated Closet, a new exhibition, which explores 20th century fashion. The pieces have been carefully selected from more than 3,000 items in its historic costume collection.

At the same time, its sister museum, the award-winning Lion Salt Works Museum in Northwich, will explore bridal dresses through the decades using a series of photographs of some of the Grosvenor’s historic wedding dresses collection.
