Northern Soul has teamed up with The Dukes in Lancaster to offer a family ticket to the UK’s biggest outdoor walkabout theatre season.

The award-winning theatre presents The Hobbit in Lancaster’s glorious Williamson Park from July 5 to August 13, 2016. Tolkien’s fantastical adventure will see the audience follow the action as it moves from one great location to another.

Since 1987, The Dukes‘ walkabout shows have transformed Williamson Park into Neverland, Oz, Ancient Greece and now Middle Earth. Bilbo, the dwarves and Gandalf will take the audience on a journey through the woods and along parkland pathways which will become enchanted forests and misty mountains filled with strange and wonderful creatures.

Central to all The Dukes’ outdoor dramas is the impressive Ashton Memorial, once described as the grandest monument in England, from which audiences can enjoy stunning sunset views across Morecambe Bay during the show.
