WIN A PAIR OF TICKETS TO GERMAN BIERFEST MANCHESTER
Northern Soul has teamed up with German Bierfest Manchester to offer one lucky reader a pair of tickets to the festival on Thursday June 2, 2016.
The first Manchester-based German Bierfest is coming to Albert Square from June 1-5, 2016. Guests can expect amazing experiences of German culture at the centre of Manchester. German Bierfest is based on the German concept of a sommerfest or summer fest, where you can find market stalls, beer gardens and funfair rides. In introducing the first German Bierfest to Manchester, the organisers hope to make it an annual event.
In addition to a German village full of original German products (including hot delicious wurst and delicious) there is a Bier Garden where visitors can enjoy a cold German beer. A Sekt Garden nearby is an exclusive area that offers the opportunity to taste the famous Sekt or German sparkling wine. There’s also a Fun Time Area with various games such as the classic German Hau den Lukas, bull-riding and a shooting hut. In the Fest Tent, a German band will entertain revellers. There is limited seating so it is advisable to book tickets online.
Manchester German Bierfest promotes authentic German cultural experiences. Three types of beer – Bavarian Weißbier, Festbier and Craftbier – are presented by Bavarian Festbeer Brewery, located in the north of Bavaria. With respect to long-standing traditions, brewing expertise and perfect flavour, the brew master has come up with a distinctive brew for German Bierfest. In addition, a selection of savoury German delicacies such as Schnitzel, Brezel, Hendl will be available at the Bier Garden and inside the Fest Tent.
Manchester German Bierfest is open daily from June 1-5, 2016. Entrance is free in the German Village every day. Regarding the Fest Tent, there is an entrance fee (except Wednesday): £5 on Thursday, Saturday afternoon and Sunday and £10 on Friday and Saturday evening.
Children are welcome in the German Village and only on Sunday in the Fest Tent. The age limit for the Fest Tent on other days except Sunday is 18+.
