WIN A PAIR OF TICKETS FOR TATE LIVERPOOL’S JACKSON POLLOCK: BLIND SPOTS
Between 1951 and 1953 Jackson Pollock (1912-1956), one of the most important and provocative American artists of the 20th century, produced a group of works referred to as his black pourings, a highly influential part of his career. But this element of his practice hasn’t been represented for more than 30 years, until now: this Summer Tate Liverpool is presenting Jackson Pollock: Blind Spots.
From June 30 until October 18, 2015 the exhibition offers a unique opportunity to see the largest number of Pollock’s black pourings ever assembled in the UK, with some never before seen in this country.
Tate Liverpool is the home of the national collection of modern art in the North and has attracted more 16 million visitors since opening in 1988. The gallery hosts a diverse and lively special exhibition programme and Blind Spots is the latest exhibition hosted by the gallery to investigate un-explored themes with previous exhibitions including such Mondrian and his Studios and Transmitting Andy Warhol.
